As our name suggests, we are printers. As our tag line implies, we are local and online.
For those that are visiting this site for the first time, here is a little bit of history. We started our printing business 15 years ago in Montvale, New Jersey. The business was based on a franchise that was a full retail neighborhood business center. In the spring of 2015 our landlords let us know that when our 10 year lease was up at the end of June 2015 that they would not renew the lease.
After a lot of looking around at the various alternatives Karen and I decided that we would move "Back Home Again... In Indiana", to Indianapolis, sooner rather than later. Our long term plan became our short term plan.
Metro Area Printing has been up and fully operational in our local facilities in Indianapolis for over 5 years now. We closed our facility in Montvale at the end of June 2015 and three weeks later we had moved all of our equipment and capabilities and have been fully operational as Metro Area Printing since July 20th 2015, 750 miles away!!
In October 2017, our son Matthew and his wife, Lingling, followed us to Indianapolis and he has been working with us since, consumating Metro Area Printing as a multi-generational family business. During these past several years, Matthew has been taking on management of the daily operation of the business and looks forward to working with both new and long-time clients.
It was a lot of hard work, but well worth it because we now have the opportunity to continue building the business in Indiana. We are printers and no longer part of the franchise. We operate out of an easily accessible light industrial space instead of a retail location. We print everything from business cards to signs and banners including promotional items and apparel.
